Midlands Psychological Associates (MPA) was established in 1982. Originally located in the Omaha-Council Bluffs area, it expanded in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada before landing in the greater Madison area with offices in Monona, WI., and Lodi, WI.

Dr. Ron Johnson
Ron Johnson, PhD., began working in the psychology industry in 1966. His primary focus is psychotherapy with men and he is experienced in neuropsychological and personality assessment.
In addition to being a psychologist, Ron is also an author. Ron and Deb have published several books together including The Positive Power of Sadness, I Want to Tell You How I Feel, What’s Your Temperament, and Balls: Men Finding Courage with Words, Work, Wine & Women.
Ron received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, his M. Div. from Denver Seminary and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.

Dr. Deb Brock
Dr. Deb Brock has more than 48 years of experience in the broader field of psychology with a focus on psychotherapy with women.
Based in the Lodi office, she specializes in self-understanding and self-acceptance, trauma and stress resolution and is extensively trained and experienced in EMDR, Mindfulness and other Somatic-Cognitive therapies.
She earned her bachelor’s degrees from Mid-Atlantic Christian University and Bellevue University, her master’s degree from Vermont College and her Ph.D. from Breyer State University.
